Goodbye 2015, Hello 2016!

Each year, during the last hours of January 31st, we like to look back on all the good things that happened during the year. Sometimes we take resolutions, but we always set higher goals for the new year.

2015 has been a very special and memorable year for both of us because it marks the launch of our blog, which was a project we had been dreaming of for a while. On a more personal basis, here are a few other reasons that make us look back on 2015 with a smile on our face:

Marika: I finally decided to become a certified MUA, which has been one of my dreams for as long as I can remember. Also, I landed an awesome job at MAC, which was very stressful in the beginning but turned out to be so much fun, and so rewarding.

The resolution I made for myself last year is the same I’ve made for the past couple years and the same I will make this year: to get out of my comfort zone as often as possible and to say yes to all opportunities that are worth it. In other words: more “oh well”s than “what if”s. Blog wise, I wish to create more makeup looks and tutorials, especially on different models! And of course, I wish to simply blog more often, if only my life could get a tiny bit less crazy!!

Melissa: 2015 is definitely a crazy year with lots achievements and marking the milestones for me! 2015 has treated me well and it is also a whole new chapter of my life too.

After taking my last course at Concordia University back in August, I am finally an official Communication Studies graduate! And now, I am in a new chapter where I will be placing my foot into real world.  Careful world, Melissa is coming through! Job search could be quite long and dreadful but I never lose hope – I did have ups and downs but hey, I got through this. With that being said, I am on the verge to have a job starting 2016! I think my year has ended pretty well, with full of surprises and good news! 2016 already have a good start!

Then, of course, the blog is one of this year’s achievement! With all the crazy schedules we both have (summer courses, MUA certificate, having 2 part-time jobs and try to have a social life), we work very hard to keep this blog running. And I am definitely very proud of our teamwork!

This year is definitely a year that has full of events for me, it’s unforgettable how many things had happened compared to others!!

The resolution I made to myself: once everything in my life is settled down (job wise), I will focus on having a schedule. To plan the time to: spend with the family & friends, be more active (yoga and meditation), enjoy things I like to do (gaming, designing, explore new things to expand my creative mind), and be more focused on the blog and, my favorite, Youtube with nail art tutorials!

How was your 2015 and what is your new year resolution?

We would like to wish you all a very happy new year, and may all your resolutions/wishes come true! -xox-
