Glitter Everywhere! | Colourpop Eyeshadows Haul & Review

Believe it or not, despite all the hype surrounding Colourpop, I had never tried their eyeshadows! I ordered eyebrow pencils a while back and got a free highlight with my order, which I thought was really cool. But, as I am usually not a fan of creamy products, I didn’t think I would like this product. Now, this is my favourite highlight and I wear it nearly everyday (the shade is “lunch money” FYI)!

Fast forward to a few weeks ago, when I decided it was about time I tried Colourpop eyeshadows, after hearing that one of my friends and awesome MUA loves them and uses them on her clients. I was looking for glittery creamy shadows that I could use as a pop of shimmer on the eyes (hellooo halo eyes!). I picked 2 individual shadows and a super cute set that contained all the colours I needed AND was on sale. It was meant to be 😉

Swatches, from left to right (in natural daylight):

Cheap Date (ultra glitter), Kathleenlights (satin)

Mittens (matte), Cricket (ultra glitter), Nillionaire (ultra glitter), So Quiche (ultra glitter), LaLa (ultra glitter), Truth (satin). To me, they seem more like fall colours so I’ll definitely be rocking those when the temperature drops!

You can tell just by the swatches that they glide on very well, and the pigmentation is quite good. The shimmer is reaaaally there and that’s exactly what I wanted! I was afraid that some shades wouldn’t be too different from one another because it’s a bit hard to see how the colour looks like based on the website images, but every eyeshadow is really unique. The only downside is that the pigmentation isn’t even from one texture to another: the ultra-glitter shadows are more shimmery than pigmented compared to the satin shadows, which are my favourite (shiny AND pigmented!).

As usual, Colourpop gave me a little extra love with my order and gifted me mini ultra suede liquid lipsticks for every 10$ spent. I chose “London Fog” and “Dopey”. The wear is quite good, but the only thing I don’t like about those is that they feel a little sticky on the lips, which makes me feel like they are not as “sealed” on my lips as a liquid lipstick should be. Other than that, love them! And the mini sizes are actually pretty convenient!

I think I will do a makeup look with all the eyeshadows I bought!! Any suggestions or any colours you want to see me use?
