Battle of the Smashbox Palettes: Hot and Cold Challenge| Part 2: Cool Makeup Look

This week on the blog, I am comparing two makeup looks that I’ve created with my Smashbox Cover Shot palettes. Make sure you have a look at my warm toned look before reading this post so you can vote for your favourite look!

Let’s jump right into the makeup look!

This is a makeup look that I often do: matte cool tones and winged liner. I have always loved purple and taupe eyeshadows, as I find they look gorgeous on brown eyes. It’s also very easy to pair a lipstick with this kind of eye makeup. I went for a nude lip, but I very easily could have picked a berry or a dark purple lipstick.

To make this look extra glam, I paired it with a nice glow (check the first picture!). Adding false lashes was very tempting, but I really wanted to keep the focus on the eyeshadows.

Even though this look is quite smokey, it remains soft and could be worn during the day, for any occasion. To take this look from day to night, simply add a pair of falsies and apply a darker lip, and voilà!

And just like that, it is the end of the Battle of the Smashbox Palettes! I really enjoyed creating the two looks, the warm-toned one, and this cool-toned one. Should I do more challenges like these?

And most importantly, which look should be crowned as the winner? Let me know in the comments below or on Instagram!
