Ok so we might still be stuck at home (depending on where you are in the world!), but one thing’s for sure: summer is going to come sooner or later! And in order to brighten your day and give you hope that the sun will shine again on our skin, I created this fun, easy yellow makeup look.
Tips to recreate my easy yellow makeup look
- Use concealer as an eyeshadow base. Pick a shade that’s lighter than your skin tone to make the colours pop even more.
- Gently press a matte shadow all over the lid (I went for yellow, but you can totally pick any colour of the rainbow)
- Blend a slightly darker shadow in the same hue all over the crease
- Use a contrasting liner to make this look pop, or a classic black liner if you prefer to keep things less dramatic
Since this look is all about the eyes, I went for a nude lip. I chose a glossy finish to contrast with the matte eyeshadows. This look would also look very good with a dark berry lip, or hot pink or even black lipstick. Have fun beautiful!

- Concealer and highlight are Nars Soft Matte in Crème Brulée and NYX Born to glow radiant concealer in Light Ivory

- MAC Hot and Humid (from the Blazing Haute Look in a Box kit)
- MAC Sunblessed (from the Blazing Haute Look in a Box kit)

This look is amazing! I love yellow but it looks terrible on me! Not related but what color do you use on your hair, I want mine like that but I can’t nail the right shade, they are either orange or purple!
Aww thanks so much love! I agree yellow is a tricky colour, I think that’s why I put off using it for so long! As for my hair, I use a dye from Goldwell Elumen in the shade “VV at all”. I had to bleach my hair to get that vibrant purple shade but it will still show on unbleached hair (you can see some of the bleach in the pics here because I really need to re-do my colour!). The dye is quite pricey, but it’s worth the investment because the colour stays for such a long time! Let me know if you try it! -xox-

Aww yay, so glad to hear that! I’m pretty sure you can order it online from hair salons/shops. I’m sure you will love it, I’ve used Elumen for years and it’s my favourite dye! No other brand is as pigmented and as shiny! Can’t wait to see your purple hair!! <3
It looks a lot more purple online than on you, my hair have balayage so the ends are pretty much white, so I’m curious to see how it looks on me, I’ve found an Italian site that has it on sale so after I finish the one I’m using I’ll try it
