Revlon, the internationally iconic beauty brand, is launching several new eye makeup products this fall. I had the chance to test the all-new ColorStay Multiplayer liquid-glide eye pencils and the ColorStay Crème eye shadows, now available in a wider range of shades. Since I do my eye makeup almost daily, I couldn’t wait to discover these new allies for doe eyes!
Revlon: almost 100 years of beauty
Revlon, a beauty giant since the 1930s, has left its mark on the history of cosmetics with its innovations and iconic advertising campaigns. A pioneer of modern nail polish (yes, it’s true!) and creator of the legendary Super Lustrous lipstick, the American brand has seduced generations of women by focusing on vibrant colours and high-performance formulas.
Beyond the products, Revlon has distinguished itself by its commitment to representing female diversity, from the independent icon of the 70s to the assertive contemporary model.
New Revlon ColorStay Crème Eyeshadow Shades
It’s the secret behind a shimmering eye look! Revlon ColorStay Crème eye shadows are perfect for creating a colourful base and enhancing any look. Among the colours offered are matte, shimmering and metallic shades. Now available in 12 colours. These eye shadows are ultra-pigmented, buildable and blend well. Perfect for creating a variety of looks!
I tested Honey (a golden yellow) and Caramel (a metallic brown), two pretty shades that will perfectly complement all iris colours. These products are pigmented and last 24 hours. A brush is included under the cap, to facilitate application at all times. The product can be applied with a finger for a more sheer colour, or with the included brush for a bolder look. These eye shadows blend easily and don’t budge.
New ColorStay Multiplayer Liquid-Glide Eye Pencils
A brand new product from Revlon! ColorStay Multiplayer Liquid-Glide Eye Pencils are ideal for lining or blending onto the lids to create a colourful look. The creamy texture glides well on the eyes and allows the product to be blended before it dries to hold in place.
They are waterproof and last 12 hours. At the other end of the pencil is a brush, which is very handy for correcting small mistakes or blending the product and creating a smokey look. Available in 6 matte or metallic shades.
I tested the shades Checkmate (matte black) and Queen of Hearts (metallic copper-red). I love their ultra-creamy texture: they glide so easily on the eyelid. The products are ultra-pigmented: Checkmate is a pure, deep black. Queen of Hearts is a stunning coppery-red; a colour rarely seen in eye pencils, yet so flattering.
With these two new products from Revlon, the eye makeup possibilities are endless!
