A few weeks ago, I had an interview and I really didn’t want to mess up. Interviews generally go well for me, but this is the first time I was interviewing for a job I REALLY wanted so the stress levels were higher than usual. So I channelled that stress into the effort I put into piecing together my spring look and interview OOTD! It turned out not so bad I think 🙂
For the big day, I wanted to wear the perfect outfit: a combination of professional yet comfy, and stylish yet not “too obviously put together”. Also, whenever I dress for an event where I’ll be making a first impression, it is important to me that my outfit reflects my personality in some way: I like giving more cues about who I am through the way I dress.
I normally never wear pink or blush tones, but I don’t hate the way it looks on me. Also, on the day of my interview, the weather was sunny and warm for the first time this spring so I was in the mood for something fresh and fun.
And yes, I did match my lipstick to my pants… 😉
To piece this outfit together, I first picked out the pants, which are VERY MUCH out of my comfort zone both in terms of colour and cut, and yet I adore them! In fact, I am pretty sure they will be my favourite pants to wear for any spring look!
They are perfect for work, and can also be worn for Sunday brunch with the girls. And they are soooo comfy!! The bow at the waist is so cute, it is my favourite thing about these pants (I love the deep pockets too). The only downside is that the bow never stays straight…
And now that I think about it, this OOTD could very well be called “Beat around the blush” too 😉
Here are the details:
Top: RW&CO
Pants: Simons
Vest: H&M
Shoes: Aldo
Hat: Vero Moda
How would you have styled these pants?

Right?! I’m so glad I bought them in dusty pink instead of black, they are more unique! -xox-
