Curls are all the rage! The Canadian brand Love Ur Curls is entirely dedicated to curly hair, offering a comprehensive range designed to meet the specific needs of this hair type. I had the chance to test several of their products, and I was curious to see if my own slightly wavy hair would finally reveal silky curls. I also had my friend Andréanne—who has the most beautiful curly hair and serves as my personal haircare expert—try out the products as well.

My hair type is mostly wavy (type 2A–2B), but it tends to go straight the day after a wash, once I’ve brushed it. I was eager to see if the Love Ur Curls care routine would help reveal my curls and make them last longer! My friend Andréanne, who joined me in testing the products, has type 2B–2C curly hair. 3-Step System Gentle & Moisturizing Shampoo

A fragrance-free shampoo with a rich, creamy texture—almost like a hair mask. Enriched with shea butter and moringa oil, this sulphate-free formula cleanses without being harsh on the hair. It lathers very well, and a small amount goes a long way, even on thick, curly hair. It provides great hydration to the hair fibre without weighing it down. Andréanne noticed that her curls were less prone to tangling than usual after using this product regularly.

3-Step System Hydrating & Detangling Conditioner

Say goodbye to knots and hello to defined curls! This rich, silicone-free conditioner saturates the hair with long-lasting moisture. Formulated with shea butter and moringa oil, it makes detangling easier, leaving curls soft, smooth, and nourished. It provides immediate, deep hydration and helps curls form and hold their shape. Like the shampoo, it hydrates without leaving a greasy residue or weighing the hair down. Andréanne even found that, on some days, the conditioner alone provided enough moisture!

3-Step System Curl-Defining Lotion

A multi-tasking styling lotion that delivers natural definition and softness. It can be used as a hydrating base with other haircare products. The curl-defining lotion nourishes and restores damaged strands over time.

Treat + Restore Moisture Milk

A product with a creamy texture—not too runny. Moisture Milk provides lightweight hydration and can be layered with other moisturizing products, if needed. Formulated with avocado oil and moringa oil, it has a subtle, very pleasant fragrance. It adds shine to the hair without weighing it down—though be careful not to apply too much (a mistake I made!), or your hair will end up looking greasy.

Style + Refresh Irish Sea Moss Gel

This product has a very subtle, slightly fruity scent and provides enhanced definition and frizz control. Its texture falls somewhere between a leave-in conditioner and a gel—lighter than a moisturizing butter. Irish Sea Moss Gel helps with styling and reviving hair, perfect for days when you want more defined curls. It offers a medium hold without leaving hair feeling dry or “crunchy.” When paired with the moisturizing milk, it works like a little miracle!

Scalp Care Healthy Scalp Serum

A hydrating serum that comes to the rescue of dry scalps! It features a precision tip, making it very easy to apply. It’s especially useful during seasonal transitions and throughout the winter. It soothes dryness, itching, and irritation while promoting healthy hair growth. A must-have to keep on hand—after all, we know that beautiful, silky curls start with a happy scalp!

Treat + Restore Moisture Infusion Butter

This product has a rich texture and a comforting, yet subtle, shea butter scent. Enriched with protective butters, it delivers and seals in moisture, restoring softness and repairing the hair. Moisture Infusion Butter is highly moisturizing and may weigh down certain hair types; it is likely best suited for very curly hair. Alternatively, it can be used as a hydrating mask whenever your hair needs an extra moisture boost.
