The brand has filled this gap in the market, much to the delight of our skin, which is still traumatized by some trial and error (yes, I’m thinking of that abrasive apricot scrub from a certain brand I won’t name!).
Byoma’s skincare range, which includes products for the body and face, was designed to simplify beauty routines and strengthen the skin barrier. Why focus specifically on the skin barrier? Because when it’s compromised, the skin becomes unbalanced and shows signs of discomfort (redness, blemishes, tightness, etc.). At Byoma, you won’t find harsh ingredients, just essentials that balance, nourish, and brighten the skin.

Testing the Byoma 5-step routine
I had the pleasure of discovering and testing 5 Byoma essentials, which make up a perfect daily routine. In order of the steps, I tested the creamy jelly cleanser, the hydrating milky toner, the phyto-mucin glow serum, the moisturizing gel-cream, and the bio-collagen radiance facial mask.
Creamy jelly cleanser
Containing a tri-ceramide complex, antioxidant licorice root, and green tea, this cleansing gel-cream also hydrates and brightens the complexion. The gel texture transforms into a rich lather to refresh the skin without disrupting the skin barrier. The tri-ceramide complex is formulated with three essential skin barrier lipids (ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids) to help restore, renew, and rebalance the skin. I love the clean and hydrated feeling this cleanser leaves, and it’s suitable for all skin types.
Hydrating milky toner
An ultra-soothing milky toner containing barrier lipids, as well as a super-supportive duo of polyglutamic acid and beta-glucan (cica). It hydrates through multiple layers of the skin and reduces redness caused by dryness. This product provides comfort by hydrating and calming the skin from the very first use. It is ideal for sensitive or sensitized skin. Personally, it’s my new favourite for giving my skin a quick hydration boost!
Phyto-mucin glow serum
A multi-tasking serum, based on plant phyto-mucin with a tri-ceramide complex, panthenol, and peptides—in short, a true hydration powerhouse! Its slightly sticky texture spreads easily and leaves no greasy or sticky residue. It instantly hydrates and plumps the skin, while improving its texture and firmness.
Moisturizing gel-cream
A lightweight moisturizer with a gel-cream texture that deeply hydrates thanks to its tri-ceramide complex, niacinamide, and green tea. It hydrates and helps brighten and even out skin tone while supporting the skin’s barrier function. This light yet powerful daily moisturizer will easily become a staple in your morning and evening routine!
Bio-collagen radiance facial mask
A transformative face mask that peels off after drying for 20 to 30 minutes. Enriched with a tri-ceramide complex, bio-collagen, astaxanthin, and cica, this mask provides deep hydration and leaves skin smooth and luminous like glass (the effect is truly impressive!). It firms the complexion, visibly improves skin elasticity, and reduces the appearance of fine lines. This product is my favourite from the Byoma line: it intensely hydrates and leaves skin so radiant!
My review of Byoma’s skincare line
Overall, I really enjoyed Byoma’s skincare products and I look forward to discovering more from the brand. The products are good quality and affordable (between $14 and $26). This is definitely the skincare line I would recommend to someone who wants to get started with skincare, or to someone who wants simple yet effective products. The little detail that charmed me: when you peel back the labels, you see the list of ingredients explained in easy-to-understand terms. Each ingredient is identified by its role in the formula: carrier, cleanser, humectant, skin conditioner, pH adjuster, solvent, etc. The label also explains the steps to follow and which products to use next in your beauty routine.
