This year marks Montréal à table’s 7th anniversary. The event takes place from November 1st to November 11th, and you can choose from a pre-selected three-course meal. This table d’hôte dinner will cost 23, 33, or 43$ depending on the restaurant you choose, and for each course, you usually have two or three options to choose from.

With 150 participating restaurants, you are sure to find something that will please your palate! Whether you like steakhouses, French cuisine, or are a vegetarian, there is something for everyone. Psit: find your favorite participating restaurant here!

Montréal à table media event

On October 3rd, I had the honour to participate to the media launch of the event, at the Musée des beaux-arts of Montreal. During the event, we discovered the restaurant list as well as the novelties of this year.

After the event, we were invited to hop on a bus that was taking up in small groups to a mystery restaurant. My group landed at Salmigondis, a wonderful, tiny restaurant with an open kitchen.

After arriving, we were seated at a table and we tasted each item on the Montréal à table menu. Needless to say, everything was delicious and each meal was prettier and tastier than the one before. A must-try restaurant, for sure!

My own experience: Ichigo Ichie

A few days ago, I went to Ichigo Ichie, a Japanese Izakaya with a very typical feel and ambiance. Their Montréal à table menu looked delicious, but we learned that if you want to try it, everyone at the table has to order this menu. In other words, you cannot have guests ordering meals from their regular menu and others trying the Montréal à table menu.

So we opted for their regular menu, and we were highly satisfied. Each plate was delicious, and it’s safe to say that this restaurant is my new favourite Izakaya!

Organized by Tourisme Montréal, Montréal à table is the perfect way to discover the city’s gastronomy without having to travel too far. It is also a great occasion to gather your friends and family around a delicious meal to create memorable moments.

Let me know if you try any restaurants! Bon appétit!
