The story behind Caudalie

Born in a family that owns a vineyard, Mathilde quickly realized the rich potential of grapes. Together with Professor Vercauteren, one of the world’s specialists in polyphenols (the magic ingredient that is found in grape seeds), they formulated a few face creams that were initially sold in pharmacies in Bordeaux. They quickly set up their own team of researchers, in order to offer the best of what grapes have to offer.

But why are grapes so special? They contain polyphenols, powerful antioxidants that act as amazing skin youth protectors. Grapes also contain resveratrol, a powerful anti-ageing agent, and viniferine, the most effective natural molecule that fights dark spots.

The company’s ethics are also impeccable: in 2006, they removed parabens from all products, and they are also very committed to ecology.

“Vinosource” SOS Thirst Quenching Serum. This product is a life saver! Perfect for dehydrated skin (aka: almost everyone in Canada due to our rough winter), this serum is very light and can be used daily. Just a pump is enough to cover the whole face. I simply can’t live without it, it is a life-(or face?)saver! (as you can see, my bottle is nearly empty…)

“Vinosource” Moisturizing Sorbet. Perfect for sensitive skin, this sorbet has a very delicate smell and melts nicely on the skin. It is my favourite moisturizer in the summer!

Nourishing Body Lotion. Very nice delicate smell, it contains anti-oxidants and hydrates the skin.

Lip Conditioner. A new favourite! Very subtle scent, hydrates and protects the lips. Also, it is made with 99% natural origin ingredients!

“Premier Cru” the Eye Cream. I love the texture of this eye cream: not too liquid, and not too thick, it spreads nicely on the eye area and hydrates very fast. Perfect to be used twice a day. It’s a rich cream that deeply hydrates. Perfect for mature skin.

Micellar Cleansing Water Made with organic grape water and chamomile, it is also not tested on animals. The scent is very subtle and the pump makes it very convenient to use. It efficiently removes all makeup and dirt from the face, without rubbing. Perfect for sensitive skin like me!
