I try my best to be an ecological person (see my post on the MakeUp Eraser), which is why I always try to find planet-friendly options when it comes to my beauty routine. When I heard about Origins skincare, I knew I would love this company. Not only are their products made mostly with natural ingredients, but also they work with organizations to plant trees, they have a container recycling program (the first in the cosmetics industry) and the products are manufactured using renewable sources. What else could you ask for?

My favourite Origins skincare products

Here are some of Origins’ products that I have adopted and that are part of my daily routine now.

GinZing Brightening Mascara to Lengthen & Lift in “Black”

It has a big thick wand that truly lengthens the lashes. This mascara leaves lashes natural-looking because the formula isn’t too thick. The wand isn’t my favourite but the formula is great.

GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff

This product is a LIFE SAVER, no joke. As an insomniac and a girl with the world’s worst dark circles, I can’t live without this product! In the morning, when I can barely open my eyes, this cream is like a cup of coffee for my under eye area: as soon as I apply it, my eyes are wide opened. It has a nice shimmer that reflects light and cancels some of the darkness. A total must-have!

Modern Friction Nature’s Gentle Dermabrasion

A very gentle exfoliator with a nice citrusy/planty smell. For all skin types, even sensitive.

GinZing Energy-boosting moisturizer

A-MA-ZING citrusy smell! It’s a very light cream that “awakens” dull-looking skin. I am addicted and I love the texture.

High-Potency Night-A-Mins Mineral-enriched renewal cream – Origins skincare

This night cream is quite thick but penetrates fast (it doesn’t leave a disgusting oily finish on the skin). It also has a nice citrusy/planty smell, but more subtle than that of the day cream.

Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores – Origins skincare

I have tried many “skin improvement” masks and let me tell you: this one REALLY WORKS!!! The active charcoal warms the skin, leaving it soft, and cleaning out them disgusting pores. Pure magic! Oh, and I love looking totally badass with a black mask hehe. A must-have!

Drink Up Hydrating Lip Balm in “Berry Splash”

*discontinued*

The product is thick -like a balm and not like a gloss-, and it has a nice, faint minty smell which is great. It leaves a nice shimmer on the lips and is a natural-looking colour.

My personal favourites: definitely the eye cream and also the mask.
