My love for tarte cosmetics goes way back – way before Shape Tape even existed. I remember being fascinated by their colourful aesthetics and their kindness toward animals and the planet. So when the brand reached out and offered to send me a lovely tarte cosmetics collection of goodies, I was beyond excited – and honoured! In order to celebrate me starting a new job that I love (yay!), I decided to create a natural makeup look that’s perfect for work. It’s an everyday makeup look that looks good on everyone because it enhances your natural beauty.

Find your match with tarte cosmetics virtual consultations
Since some tarte cosmetics products are not yet available in stores here (I’m thinking Shape Tape), booking a virtual consultation with a tarte artist comes in super handy. I booked with the lovely Alex and we met over Zoom for about 20 minutes. She asked me about the shades and products I currently used, inquired about my needs in terms of coverage, and recommended the perfect products based on my needs and preferences.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience that I recommend to everyone. When I received the products, they were my exact shade! Unbelievable! I was so thrilled to receive my goodies, especially since it was about time I updated my tarte cosmetics collection since my last haul!
Tips to recreate my natural makeup look
- Great skin is always the focus when wearing a natural makeup look. Make sure to even out your skin tone with a concealer or foundation that’s not too matte.
- For the eyes, pick mostly matte or satin shades with a little pop of shimmer or glitter if you wish.
- Don’t overdo it on the blush, contour and highlight.
- Favour a gloss or a tinted lip balm over a lipstick.
Products used
Eyes: all shades are from the tartelette in bloom clay palette

Now I understand the hype surrounding this palette! Tartelette in bloom really is the ultimate “everyday” palette for all skin tones. I also love that it contains cooler shades and warmer shades; it’s so versatile! You can easily create a natural look like I did, but you can also go full glam. The best part? The shade names!!
Face:
- Babassu foundcealer skincare foundation, shade 13N Fair neutral. It makes my skin look like skin, has buildable coverage and contains SPF!
