2018 is already coming to an end and boy has it flown by! It seems as though yesterday I was writing my goals for the new year, and here I am, writing my 2018 recap! Last January, I had written a few goals for me to reach over the year. Even though I did very well on the blogging goals (I crushed nearly all of them!), I didn’t do so well on the personal goals, mostly due to lack of time and, you know, life.
Overall, 2018 has been a year of learning and growing, probably more than ever. This year also marks my first year of blogging entirely on my own, woohoo! Enjoy my 2018 recap per month!
January 2018
For me, January is usually all about setting myself some goals for the year ahead and planning as much as I can.
February 2018
I felt very inspired and created a super fun, blue makeup look, that made me dream of beaches and warmer days.
March 2018
I went to Mexico for a lovely, relaxing vacation that was well-deserved. It was my very first time visiting somewhere warm and I loved it!
April 2018
I reached 1,000 followers on Instagram, which is something I never even dreamed of! I have been struggling with the social network a little ever since, but I am trying to plan ahead and will try a new strategy in 2019.
May 2018
I unexpectedly moved to Quebec City to start a new job and live my life as an independent woman. I also discovered Korean cosmetics and turned 25 so May was quite a busy month for me!
June 2018
After much wait, I adopted my cat whom I love so so much! He has been my everything ever since.
July 2018
I finally found the leather jacket of my dreams! Yes, this goes in my yearly recap because I’ve waited 25 years for this! I also saw a ton of shows at the Festival d’été de Québec, and I had a fantastic time.
On a sad note, I gave complete control of my site to someone who was supposed to help me become self-hosted, but I ended up being scammed… And I was forced to take a 5-month break due to that 🙁 But all is good now!
August 2018
My friend got married and the ceremony was the perfect combination of funny and touching. It was also an occasion for me to go back to Montreal to see my family for a bit.
September 2018
Work began to intensify quite a bit so I became an absolute pro at managing my time and my priorities. Yay! #adulting
October 2018
I went back to my hometown to celebrate Thanksgiving and I also got a crazy cool haircut that I’m still obsessed with! I also began learning a lot about blogging, in the hope of someday transforming my passion into a business.
November 2018
I celebrated the re-launch of my blog after a too-long break and it felt so good! My break did feel good, but I was so eager to go back to blogging! I was also invited to an incredible media event for Montréal à table, and reviewed my first product from Topbox.
December 2018
I discovered Japanese cosmetics thanks to my sister and learned so many new strategies and tips to implement on my blog next year! I cannot wait to grow this little hobby of mine into something bigger. Sky’s the limit (or so I try to tell myself when I feel like giving up!).
