What better occasion than the holidays to look extra glam? I just love wearing ultra-chic outfits, sky-high heels, an impeccable makeup look, and glittery nails. This year, after seeing so many inspirational pics on Instagram, I wanted to try a trend: press-on nails. I decided to give them a try because fake nails for the holidays is a total YES for me. I bought two pairs from two different brands to try different techniques.
H&M matte black nails
The first pair from H&M is a set of 24 matte black almond-shaped nails. These are one-time use and are easy to remove. There is a sticky band on the lower half of the inner side of the nails to keep them in place.
They are quite sturdy but will fall if there is an impact. If you want to try the trend without too big of a commitment, this is the perfect set of fake nails for the holidays!
Static Nails blue sunglass effect nails
The second set and the most daring one is from Static Nails. They are blue with an iridescent finish, very modern and trendy. There are 24 nails in a faux-suede pouch to store them. The set also includes a non-damaging nail glue, a file and instructions.
You can file or clip them to the desired shape if you do not wish to keep the almond shape. To apply the nails, put the desired amount of glue and press them on your natural nail. This set of nails can last for 1 day or up to 2 weeks on your nails depending on the amount of glue applied.
These are very sturdy and are reusable and an excellent value for money ratio. Between the two, this is my favourite set for sure!
Which set of holiday fake nails is your favourite? Have you ever tried this trend?
Happy holidays! <3
